Which composite materials are used by the CTLS? |
A. Most of the aircraft is made of carbon fiber to achieve a lightweight and strong structure. A small number of exterior parts without strength requirements are made from glass fiber. B. In consideration of cabin safety, multiple layers of Kevlar fibers are used to make the cabin to enhance its safety (the same material used in bulletproof vests). |
What about the CTLS flight control system? |
The flight control system of an aircraft uses steel cables and other mechanical devices to link, which are known as mechanical links. |
How long is the runway required for CTLS take-off? |
The length of runway required for take-off is 250 m with take-off weight 600 kg and 15° flaps. For obstacles 15 meters above the ground after take-off, the runway length required is 450 m with take-off weight 600 kg and 15° flaps. Rising every 300 meters Refer to the flight manual for take-off crosswind resistance. |
How does the BRS (Emergency Ballistic Recovery System) work? |
The BRS can prevent aircraft accidents. Pulling down the joystick in the cockpit can shoot out the parachute. Once the parachute of the BRS opens, the falling speed will be reduced to about 1700 feet/min (518 meters/min), and the force generated by the impact on the ground is equivalent to that of jumping from a height of 4 meters. Furthermore, the aircraft body structure, landing gear, and seat can also provide a certain degree of cushioning to protect the pilot. |
Which kind of fuel does CTLS use? |
Motor Gasoline 98 and aircraft fuel AVGAS100LL are recommended. |
What kind of engine does your aircraft use? |
The CTLS adopts the engine ROTAX 912ULS from Austria. The CTLSi adopts the engine ROTAX 912iS from Austria |
What is the maximum number of passengers a CTLS can carry? |
CTLS can provide enough comfortable space for one pilot and one passenger. |
What are the maximum flight distance and fuel load of a CTLS? |
Distance: A CTLS LSA with a standard wing tank can fly approximately 1,800 km. Fuel Load: CTLS can load 130 l of fuel. |
What is the payload of the CTLS? |
The CTLS has an empty weight of 326 kg and a maximum effective take-off load of 600 kg/ 1320 lbs. It can carry two adults and fuel for a long-distance flight with a tank capacity of 130 liters. |
What kind of flight instruments and avionics does the CTLS use? |
The CTLS uses GPS Garmin (795 Asian Version /796 XM Optional) and Dynon Skyview, as well as the Garmin GTR225 radio system. Our products have adopted Garmin and Dynon products for many years, which are very reliable and customized and fully meet the needs of all customers. |
Can a pitch control system be added to a CTLS? |
A. A pitch control system can be selected for the CTLS. For further information, please consult your sales consultant. B. Pitch control is not allowed in some countries as the laws and regulations vary from nation to nation. |
Can a CTLS carry any luggage? |
Both the left and right side of the CTLS have a baggage compartment, with a maximum load of 25 kg (55 lbs.) on either side and a total maximum load of 50 kg (100 lbs.). Please refer to the "Weight and Balance" section for pre-takeoff calculations before flying. |
